Erica Nye Therapy and Career Counselling for Professionals in Vancouver and Across British Columbia

Counselling for Work, Career, and Burnout
in Vancouver and Across BC

Work pressure rarely affects only one part of life. Burnout, work stress, and uncertainty about direction tend to develop together.

I provide therapy and career counselling for adults whose mental health, confidence, or sense of stability has been affected by work.

Some clients reach out because they are questioning their career direction, navigating a transition, or wondering whether their current work still fits. Others feel burned out, unable to recover from sustained pressure, or affected by difficult workplace dynamics.

These concerns often overlap. You do not need to know which category fits before reaching out. The sections below describe common areas of focus within counselling, but the work itself is tailored to your situation.

Areas of Focus

Work-related concerns often overlap. Career uncertainty can exist alongside burnout. Workplace dynamics can affect confidence and make decisions feel harder. Sustained stress can make it harder to understand what needs to change.

The sections below describe the main areas of focus within my counselling practice. You do not need to know which one fits best before reaching out.

Career Counselling

For adults who feel stuck, uncertain about their direction, or ready to make a change but unsure how. This work can support career decisions, role transitions, loss of motivation or meaning, and questions about whether your current work still fits.

Burnout and Work Stress

For professionals experiencing depletion, sustained pressure, difficulty recovering, or strain connected to how work is structured. This work can support you in understanding what is contributing to burnout or work stress, and what needs to shift to make your work more sustainable.

Workplace Dynamics

For adults affected by difficult workplace relationships, harmful organizational dynamics, bullying, harassment, retaliation concerns, or psychologically unsafe work environments. This work can support you in understanding what is happening, how it is affecting you, and what options may be available.

Assessing Fit

This work is best suited for adults who are able to engage in reflective, ongoing support.

It may not be the right fit for those seeking quick fixes, crisis intervention, or directive advice without exploration.

Session Format and Fees

Standard 50 minutes: $200

Extended 80 minutes: $300

Most sessions are 50 minutes. Extended sessions are available when additional time is clinically appropriate, such as for complex situations, deeper therapeutic work, time-based constraints, or integrated career and therapeutic concerns.

Insurance and Payment

Sessions are held online through secure video.

I do not bill insurance directly. Receipts are provided for reimbursement through extended health plans that cover Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) or Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCC).

Counselling services are GST exempt.
