Therapy and Career Counselling for Professionals in Vancouver and Across BC

Erica Nye Therapy and Career Counselling for Professionals in Vancouver and Across British Columbia

Work pressure rarely affects only one part of life. Burnout, work stress, and uncertainty about direction tend to develop together.

I provide therapy and career counselling for adults navigating the psychological and practical impact of sustained work pressure, difficult workplace situations, and career uncertainty. This work integrates clinical support with career decision-making — so you are not forced to separate mental health from work or life direction.

Burnout and Work Stress Therapy

This support is for professionals who are exhausted in ways that rest alone does not resolve.

You may be:

  • running on adrenaline or anxiety to get through the day

  • feeling emotionally flat or detached at work and at home

  • struggling with irritability, sleep disruption, or constant mental load

  • overfunctioning while quietly burning out

  • continuing to say yes even as your body signals overload

Work here focuses on:

  • understanding how burnout affects the nervous system and daily functioning

  • untangling responsibility, performance pressure, and self-worth

  • learning how to regulate stress rather than push through it

  • building boundaries that protect time, capacity, and energy

  • developing more sustainable ways of working over time

Career Counselling

This support is for adults who feel stuck, uncertain about their direction, or ready to make a change but unsure how.

You may be:

  • questioning whether to stay in your current role or make a change

  • navigating loss of motivation or meaning in your work

  • feeling disconnected from a career path that once made sense

  • trying to make decisions without destabilizing your life

  • taking on more than is sustainable and unsure what needs to shift

Work here focuses on:

  • understanding what is driving dissatisfaction or indecision

  • clarifying direction and identifying realistic options

  • working through practical constraints alongside values and interests

  • supporting decisions that are grounded rather than reactive

  • identifying concrete next steps that are workable and sustainable

Workplace Dynamics Counselling

This support is for professionals navigating toxic workplaces, harmful workplace experiences, or difficult dynamics that are affecting their mental health and sense of direction.

You may be:

  • dealing with bullying, harassment, or discrimination at work

  • managing a toxic culture, a difficult manager, or ongoing peer conflict

  • questioning whether to stay, raise concerns, or leave

  • processing the psychological impact of a harmful workplace you have already left

  • noticing a pattern of difficult workplace experiences across more than one role

Work here focuses on:

  • understanding the psychological impact of what you are experiencing

  • examining realistic options without pressure to act before you are ready

  • navigating the decision of whether and how to raise concerns internally

  • distinguishing between leaving as the right next step and leaving as an escape

  • processing and rebuilding confidence after a harmful workplace experience

Assessing Fit
