Frequently Asked Questions
Before starting, it is natural to have questions about how sessions work and what to expect.
The information below outlines how I work, how appointments are structured, and how booking and payment are handled.
Our work begins with understanding what brought you here and what you want to change, strengthen, or clarify.
ABOUT OUR SESSIONS
Who do you work with?
I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, work-related stress, career transitions, relationship challenges, and grief.
Many of the people I support are managing sustained pressure, high responsibility, or periods of transition in their personal and professional lives, often within environments where performance expectations and decision-making demands are high.
I provide therapy and career counselling within my scope of practice as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).
What can I expect during my first session?
Your first session focuses on understanding what brings you to therapy or career counselling at this time. We will review relevant background, clarify current concerns, and identify initial goals for our work together. You will also have space to ask questions about the process and how sessions typically unfold.
If you are seeking career counselling, we will begin by exploring your work history, role patterns, strengths, and the specific challenges or decisions you are facing.
This session establishes a clear clinical and practical foundation before moving into ongoing, more in-depth work.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and the complexity of what you are addressing.
Some clients attend for a focused period to work through a specific issue. Others choose longer-term support when navigating burnout, anxiety, career transitions, or sustained stress patterns.
We determine the pace and duration collaboratively and adjust as needed.
How long are sessions?
Ongoing sessions are offered in two lengths:
50 minutes for focused therapeutic work and regular support
80 minutes when more time is needed for complex situations or deeper exploration.
What are your appointment hours?
Appointments are offered Monday through Thursday during the day and early evening. The latest session begins at 6:00PM.
Appointments outside of these hours may be available on a limited basis, depending on schedule.
How often should I attend sessions?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and continuity.
As progress develops, sessions may shift to bi-weekly or monthly, depending on needs and goals.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
No. All sessions are offered online.
What do online sessions require?
For the best experience, please have:
a stable internet connection
a private, quiet space
a laptop or tablet when possible
headphones if privacy is needed

workplace challenges
anxiety and depression
life transitions
My work centers on how personal and professional pressures interact and how these patterns affect well-being, confidence, and functioning.
